On the Hills

After a very busy few weeks of work and hardly having time to catch our breath, we packed up the van and headed off into the hills of the Peak District National Park for a few days of camping and hiking on the sheep-strewn moors. It is the area where alot of Pride and Prejudice was filmed and can be crammed with visitors in the summer. We found a camping barn on a quiet old farm in the middle of the peaks where several footpaths left off from our back door.
A cool, drizzly wind blew through and we enjoyed glimpses of the sun between the clouds and soft rains during our walks, with the weather changing up to four or five times in the course of a couple hours.
